Day 11: The Very First J-Rock Song You Ever Heard

I don’t think it is the very first one I heard, but it is the first that I associated with the genre J-Rock and the song that got me into it: 1/3の純情な感情 by SIAM SHADE.

(and no, I will not post the song, video, pictures or any links, because frankly, I am a bit sick of that being the only thing I see associated with SIAM SHADE recently, and certainly am sick of all the covers. At least FLOW had Daita as a guest guitarist (and he helped with their arrangement) but seriously… Though I will be screaming as loud as everyone else when SIAM SHADE plays it on the 21st in Saitama.)

Day 10: How You Got Into J-Rock

Yup. You guessed it. SIAM SHADE.

I think I mentioned it earlier, but I had a friend who made me a CD of the Kenshin themes. And a certain theme caught my attention. Once I started seeking out all the SIAM SHADE music, I then naturally started seeking out other J-Rock music… and became hooked.

I’ll try and do a concert write-up (we’ll see… I always say that and… ) later but:

As the Final song at Fanime, FLOW performed Hey!!!

And it sounds amazing! I CANNOT wait until August/September for this to come out.

I will keep checking Amazon.jp for this to be available for pre-order.

The concert was amazing, of course.

So friggin’ stoked for Fanime and FLOW especially!!!!!!! More to come and I swear I will get back to the 30-Day Challenge.

Amazing raw and gritty performance. A true hard and punk live and I love it. And damn, Hideki is so purely hot in this. I would love to just towel him down and help him shower off…
